AMBASADORII LAUDER-REUT LA CONFERINȚA TIMEMUN, ISRAEL, 17 – 24 februarie 2017

De peste șapte decenii, Organizația Națiunilor Unite monitorizează îndeaproape demersul afacerilor internaționale, depunând întotdeauna eforturi masive pentru a rezolva orice potențial conflict pe cale amiabilă și pentru a servi interesul nobil al comunității internaționale: cooperarea tuturor țărilor pe plan politic și economic. Existenței ONU îi datorăm persistența păcii mondiale într-o lume care în toamna anului 1945 era cel puțin la fel de instabilă, conflictuală și ruinată precum cea de la finele Primei Conflagrații Mondiale în noiembrie 1918, clocotind de interese politice potrivnice, de ură și de frustrare.

"Astăzi, tinerii liceeni și studenți au oportunitatea de a experimenta mediul scenei politice internaționale în cadrul conferințelor Model United Nations, pregătindu-se pentru viitoarea carieră de diplomați la care aspiră. Venind dintr-o școală distinsă cu tradiție în pregătirea viitorilor lideri mondiali, Complexul Educațional Lauder Reut, care pune la dispoziția elevilor cursuri de diplomație și relații internaționale captivante, împreună cu alți 9 colegi din clasele a IX-a și a X-a, am avut onoarea de a ne reprezenta liceul la conferința The Israel Middle East Model United Nations, care a avut loc la Școala Americană Walworth Barbour din Israel pe 19, 20 și 21 februarie 2017. Personal, am făcut parte din Comitetul Special, unde s-au dezbătut soluții pe tema redeschiderii negocierilor de pace dintre Statul Israel și poporul palestinian. Am asistat, de asemenea, la seminarii ținute de profesori renumiți de la universități din Canada și din SUA despre conflictele interetnice și culturale dintre iudei și musulmani, evrei și arabi în Țara lui Israel pe parcursul mileniilor, de la primele regate evreiești până la Mandatul Britanic și întemeierea Israelului modern în anul 1948. Am avut ocazia de a aplica tacticile și cunoștințele deprinse la cursurile de diplomație, de a întâlni oameni deosebiți, care studiază la licee și la facultăți din Israel și din mai multe țări arabe, dar și din Africa de Sud, Franța, Marea Britanie, SUA și Germania.

În încheiere, prima mea experiență MUN nu poate fi descrisă în cuvinte. Senzația de a te afla într-un colectiv de 500 de alți tineri care îți împărtășesc pasiunea, de a coopera și discuta cu persoane de aceeași vârstă dar venind din cealaltă jumătate a Globului, fiind de altă rasă și religie, nu poate fi recreată nicăieri în lume. Știu sigur că anul viitor voi dori să particip din nou și sper ca această modestă tentativă de articol să îi inspire pe viitorii elevi de clasa a IX-a să ne calce pe urme."

 "În afară de experiența primei mele participări la o conferință Model United Nations (MUN), și anume TIMEMUN, organizată și în acest an la Școala Internațională Americană din Israel, am avut parte, în excursia în Israel, și de multe alte momente deosebite petrecute alături de colegi, profesori și gazdele israeliene. Mă refer la vizitele pe care le-am făcut la Marea Moartă, în deșertul Negev, inclusiv la un așezământ locuit de beduini, în Jaffa, cartierul antic al Tel-Avivului, pe care l-am parcurs în special de-a lungul plajelor sale extrem de întinse și în Herzliya, unul dintre cele mai primitoare orașe ale Israelului, unde am putut vizita în premieră cetatea antică a Apolloniei, numită in ebraică Tel-Ashraf. Deși pentru mine nu a fost prima vizită în Israel, tot am putut să descopăr locuri captivante și să cunosc oameni noi, făcând, astfel, referire la gazdele întregului grup, israelieni de vârsta noastră, care ne-au primit foarte bine și și-au propus să ne prezinte cât mai multe din țara lor. Astfel, săptămâna petrecută în Israel s-a dovedit a fi o experiență de care voi putea să-mi aduc aminte cu bucurie."

"Aș vrea să încep cu sincere mulțumiri către conducerea şcolii și profesorii implicaţi în această activitate. Pentru început, vreau să menţionez faptul că gazdele au făcut o treabă minunată pentru a ne adapta la cultura și la stilul lor de viaţă. Din punct de vedere al unui oaspete într-o cultură așa diferită față de a noastră, m-am simțit foarte bine primit. De la mâncarea orientală până la Marea Moartă și ”shuk-urile” tradiționale, a fost o experiență cu adevărat minunată. Mergând pe stradă, am observat diversitatea locuitorilor, iar aceștia conviețuiau fără probleme care să depășească limita decenței. Sincer să fiu, mi-a plăcut foarte mult excursia aceasta, ne-am ințeles foarte bine cu gazdele noastre și ne-am făcut prieteni. Desigur că de abia așteptăm sosirea celor din Israel in România ca să le putem arăta și țara noastră."

 "Când nu ești prima oară într-un loc, ai tendința să te uiți cu mai puțină atenție la detalii: parcă am mai văzut asta, parcă și asta am mai făcut, parcă totul îmi este cunoscut. Cred că aș putea să fac asta oriunde, dar nu în Israel, cu atât mai puțin când merg acolo însoțind un grup de elevi incredibil de talentați și pregătiți cum sunt cei zece prieteni noi pe care mi i-am făcut în ultima săptămână din februarie, elevi ai claselor a IX-a sau a X-a.

Împreună cu profesoarele Atalia Weisman și Rica Pintilie, nu numai că am însoțit acest grup de elevi, ci am și cunoscut un grup de elevi israelieni cel puțin la fel de talentați și de calzi, profesori minunați și am avut parte de experiențe unice, de la conferința TIMEMUN, organizată de American School of Even Yehuda până la vizita din rezervația En Ghedi și superba întâlnire cu beduinii din K’far Hanoukdim. Am fost cu toții îmbogățiți atât din punct de vedere al cunoștințelor cât și din punct de vedere spiritual în aceste șase zile incredibile.

Nu de puține ori mă simt mândră de elevii mei, de modul în care îi văd crescând academic și nu numai, de modul în care văd că devin adulți responsabili, pregătiți , implicați ca cetățeni europeni și viitori lideri. De data asta, însă, parcă m-am simțit și mai mândră de acest grup minunat de copiii."
