Last Friday, on the 19th of May 2017, we had the honor to meet the ambassador of Romania in France, H.E. Mr. Luca Niculescu. This meeting was eye-opening, because we learned how political relations are created and maintained; we were also informed about the diplomatic duties and bilateral relations between Romania and France.

The presentation began with some short speeches from our students, who visited the Embassy of Romania in Paris last year. Afterwards, Mr. Niculescu talked about his experience as an ambassador and offered us useful information regarding diplomacy and international relations. Then, he answered sincerely to all of our questions with a lot of details and the discussion was beneficial for us since we could find out more about the challenges of a life as a diplomat. The presentation was engaging, well structured and it had the appropriate tone and His Excellency was very content to answer all the questions addressed to him.

Here are some impressions our students shared after this amazing meeting:

„The Ambassador of Romania in France, Mr. Luca Niculescu, visited the Lauder-Reut Educational Complex on the 19th of May. His visit was interesting for many reasons. Not only did we have the opportunity to learn new things from the diplomacy field, but we also heard our colleagues’ personal experiences from their trip to Paris. Probably the most remarkable moment during the event was hearing facts about the activity of his Excellency and seeing pictures of the embassy, known as one of the most impressive buildings, situated in the center of Paris. Furthermore we were delighted to have his presence in our high school and we definitely hope to meet him again.”
